The Emory Cardiac Toolbox™ offers a unique combination of leading-edge nuclear medicine software for comprehensive cardiac analysis. It begins with an enhanced CEqual protocol upgraded with improvements, including: side-by-side reconstruction, quantification with or without normal databases and automatically aligned slices. The ECTB is avaliable for InterViewXp Cardiac and General package users.
The toolbox also includes Gated SPECT functional analysis and 3D- PerfSPECTive™ cardiac perfusion visualization.
Included in the Emory Cardiac Toolbox is the Emory Gated SPECT (EGS) protocol, which processes Gated data and adds dimension of time to the images. This protocol generates a series of functional results to enhance the diagnostic tools available in CEqual, and allows exhaustive nuclear cardiac studies to be performed. Ejection Fraction is calculated and a corresponding curve is generated – with or without the R1 and R2 Regression. In addition to the calculated End Diastolic Volume (EDV), End Systolic Volumes (ESV), SV Volumes and the estimated Total Mass, the inner and outer left ventricle walls are displayed at End Diastolic and End Systolic frames. A review screen gives operators the choice of 2D Gated cines for mid VLA, mid HLA and apical SA, mid SA and basal SA slices, or 3D Gated cines (utilizing 3D-PerfSPECTive software) for septal, lateral, inferior and anterior views. The estimated percent thickening is displayed as a polar map.
PerfSPECTive Three Dimensional Display. This display provides multi-view three dimensional polar map sets for both the Stress and Rest studies. The shape of the three dimensional LV myocardium is intended to present the actual myocardial shape, as determined by the sampling methodolgy. The three dimensional paired images provide the ability for direct visual comparison of Stress and Rest perfusion.
PerfSPECTive 3D Generic Coronary Overlay. An option in the PerfSPECTive display output provides the capabilities to overlay either a "Right Dominant" or "Left Dominant" coronary tree over the PerfSPECTive 3D blackout defect extent display. The generic tree overlay options may be useful in correlating identified perfusion defects with particular coronary arteries.
